~Original full dark brown calf, double gilt fillets to boards. Low raised bands, gilt decor, and green gilt label to spine. Gilt decor to board edges, blind decor to turn-ins. Spine faded. 8vo (13.8 x 19.1cm). All edges marbled. Hinges sound. Endpapers uncracked over gutters. Endpapers marbled in Spanish Moire on Turkish pattern. Prize inscription dated 1883 to front endpaper. With 24 dramatic illustrations (inc. frontis) in tan, terracotta, and black, with tissue guards, after designs by Flaxman and others.
