~Original burgundy cloth over flexible card boards. Mild markings and fading to boards and spine. Mild foxing to page edges. Dimensions: 4.3 x 3.2 x 2cm. Hinges sound. Black endpapers. Final page of text stuck to endpaper at gutter, rendering text near gutter unreadable. Closed tear (c. 1cm) to p. 186. Edgewear to p. 624, with minor effect on text. One page (pp. 132-33; Joshua 18) is loose: perhaps a production error as text on this & preceding leaf is also slightly misaligned, with a line or so cut off at lower margin. Facsimile licence page to verso of title page, dated 1901. Bryce’s famous miniature bible, first published in 1896. Drawing on advances in photolithography, it was at the time the smallest complete bible ever printed. Often found with magnifying glass, but this one is without.~Robust packaging.
